SUNY Ends COVID-19 Student Vaccination Requirement

April 19, 2023

SUNY has recently announced that their mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for on-campus students has been lifted. This means that as of Summer 2023, and going forward, students will no longer be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to register for or attend on-campus classes.

Though SUNY no longer requires students to be vaccinated for COVID-19, all members of the campus community are still strongly encouraged to do so, and to stay up to date on boosters as recommended by the CDC in order to protect themselves and others. Those who have received their vaccines and/or boosters are asked to continue to submit their updated vaccination records to the college’s Health Services Office, in order to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Please also note that all students enrolled in an applied learning experience, program or course requiring a clinical or internship will still be required to comply with their host site policies, including any vaccination or testing protocols. This applies to students in any academic program and all levels of clinical and allied health training.
